ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT

Job Overview

The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government, is hiring an Assistant Director: Enterprise Development (Level 09). The successful candidate will hold an NQF level 6 qualification in Business Management, Administration, Commerce, or Project Management, alongside at least 3 years of relevant experience. Key duties include supporting financial and non-financial access for small businesses, building partnerships, enhancing entrepreneurship, and improving the business environment. Requirements & Qualifications

• An appropriate qualification at NQF level 6 (or higher) in the field of Business Management/Administration, Commerce, or Project Management
• A minimum of 3 years relevant enterprise development and administrative experience
• Knowledge of Economics, Application of statistical information, Public administration, Applicable legislative and regulatory requirements, policies and standards, Project management, and Computer software programmes
• Skills in Stakeholder Management, Computer Literacy, Language, Information Technology, Formal Training, Financial Analysis, Strategic Planning, Facilitating, Negotiating, Communication, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Applied Strategic Thinking, and Creative Thinking

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the development of initiatives to enable small business access to non-financial and financial support
• Support the implementation of initiatives to provide market access opportunities for small business
• Facilitate building and strengthening partnerships to provide small businesses with business development services (leverage of funding and supplier development)
• Support the implementation of initiatives to enhance entrepreneurship (social and business)
• Support the development of initiatives to improve the enabling environment for business through government interaction
• Support the development of initiatives to identify gaps and/or blockages for service delivery improvement and refer to the relevant components
