Job Overview

King Sabata Dalindyebo TVET College invites suitably qualified applicants for a permanent Assistant Director: Curriculum Development and Implementation (Occupational Programmes) position based in Mthatha, Eastern Cape. The salary is R605 742 per annum (Level 10). Requirements include an NQF L7 qualification, a recognised teacher's qualification, SACE certificate, five years of curriculum development experience, three years of supervisory experience, and a valid driver's licence. Requirements & Qualifications

• National Senior Certificate/Grade 12/STD 10 or NCV level 4
• Three (3) years recognised National Diploma / Degree (NQF L7)
• Recognised teacher's qualification
• SACE Certificate
• Five (5) years experience in Curriculum Development
• Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
• Valid driver's licence
• Knowledge of Public Service Act and CET Act of 2006 as amended
• Computer literacy
• Leadership, management, project management, and communication skills

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Facilitate occupational qualifications implementation and policy development
• Ensure OHS compliance, proper POE format and content, machinery, and tools handling in workshops
• Manage floor demarcations, workshop cubicles, and teaching/learning policies
• Oversee learner support services before, during, and after training interventions
• Align teaching and learning portfolios content to QCTO
• Identify new market trends and formulate strategies to expand delivery of occupational programmes
• Develop and review procedures and templates for implementation of occupational learning programmes
• Manage and facilitate registration of learning programmes, facilitators, assessors, RPL practitioners, and moderators
• Establish partnerships with industries
• Perform quality assurance functions following set regulations
• Facilitate certification for competent learners in accordance with relevant legislation and QCTO requirements
• Provide curriculum improvement and implementation support for occupational programmes
• Ensure accreditation of programmes offered and workshops through relevant accreditation bodies
