Job Overview

An Artisan Production Grade A position is available in the Vhembe district focusing on drainage structures. The role requires an appropriate Trade Test Certificate in Steel & shuttering and a valid driver's license. Key responsibilities include producing designs, manufacturing objects to specification, inspecting and repairing equipment, maintaining technical records, and supervising staff. The position offers an OSD salary of R253 341 per annum.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Appropriate Trade Test Certificate in Steel & shuttering
• Valid driver’s license, with the exception of applicants with disabilities
• Technical analysis knowledge
• Computer-aided technical applications
• Knowledge of legal compliance
• Technical report writing
• Production, process knowledge and skills

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Produce designs according to client specification and within limits of production capability
• Produce objects with material and equipments according to job specification and recognised standards
• Perform quality assurance of produced objects
• Inspect equipment and/or facilities for technical faults
• Repair equipment and facilities according to standards and test against specifications
• Service equipment and/or facilities according to schedule and perform quality assurance
• Compile and submit reports and provide inputs on the compilation of technical reports
• Keep and maintain job records and other registers
• Supervise and mentor staff
• Maintain continuous individual development to keep up with new technologies and procedures
