Job Overview

An Administration Clerk: Supply Chain Management position is available at the West Coast TB Complex (Sonstraal Hospital) within the Cape Winelands Health District, offering a salary of R237 453 per annum. Responsibilities include performing supply chain functions, managing inventory via LOGIS, conducting stock counts, and ensuring compliance with SCM legislation. Requirements include a Senior Certificate with Mathematics/Accounting, experience in procurement and warehousing, LOGIS knowledge, computer literacy, and a valid driver's licence.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject and/or Senior certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focus on the Key Performance Areas (KRA’s) of the post.
• Appropriate experience in procurement, asset management, warehousing and on Procurement (Electronic Procurement System).
• Valid B/EB driver’s licence.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy items.
• Knowledge and or practical experience of the LOGIS System, Warehousing and Procurement management functions and functional experience in obtaining quotations on an electronic purchasing system (IPS).
• Computer literacy (MS Excel and Word).
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform all Supply chain functions.
• Ensure proper filling of documentation pertaining to receiving, issuing, and recording of transaction on the Supply Chain Systems (LOGIS) and filing of source documents.
• Conduct regular stock count and prevent shortages and surpluses within area of responsibility.
• Prevent theft, damages and report any discrepancies to supervisor and senior management.
• Maintain minimum and maximum stock level to avoid stock shortages/outouts.
• Follow up on outstanding deliveries (orders) with the supplier.
• Ensure compliance to all relevant laws and prescripts related to Supply Chain Management.
• Partake during institutional assets counts as determined by management.
