ACCOUNTING CLERK: EXPENDITURE AND ACCOUNTS

Job Overview

An Accounting Clerk position (Level 05) is available at the Sekhukhune District Office with a salary of R237 453 per annum. Responsibilities include archiving payment vouchers, handling payment enquiries, performing creditor reconciliations, receiving goods on systems, and maintaining registers. Requirements include an NQF Level 4/Matric qualification, knowledge of PERSAL and BAS systems, basic financial management skills, understanding of PFMA, and computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications.

Requirements & Qualifications

• An appropriate qualification at NQF level 4/Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification as recognised by SAQA
• Good communication and listening skills

• Knowledge of PERSAL and BAS system

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Archiving of payment vouchers
• Process and handle payment enquiries
• Attend to client queries on payments
• Assist in performing creditor's reconciliation
• Receive goods on the system after they have been received manually
• Maintain payment register
• Update registers daily
